Sales Manager (Industrial Automation)

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Screen and identify potential Key Accounts in the region according to HAP global definition, especially focus would be on OEM customers.
  • Develop distributors and system integrators, promote product awareness in the region, as well as participate in major projects tendering.
  • Develop and propose potential Key Account deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities with delivered Frame Agreement and secured orders.
  • Prepare regional Key Account follow-up strategy, develop region negotiating strategies and positions by studying company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; evaluating partners’ needs and goals.
  • Work with regional sales team to close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Leverage on organisation’s reputation and customer awareness on branding in the region especially for Key Accounts by means of, including but not limited to, business promotion sessions like forum, exhibition, roadshow etc.


  • Bachelor degree or above;
  • Good command of spoken & written English.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in MNC, preferably in Industrial Automation or related setup companies. Candidates with experience in business development, sales & marketing, channel development, pre-sales related roles are preferred.
  • Good understanding of automation products and applications (PLC), understands well channel managements, understanding competition from key players and customers in the region;
  • Possess an analytical mind with an eye for details;
  • Self-driven, fast learner, high energy with the ability to understand the capabilities of existing business models/ processes/systems;
  • A team player who can work across various teams and countries, yet able to work independently;
  • Ability to work under high pressure with positive working attitude;
  • Individual who takes pride in their work and takes initiative, self-motivated;
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Cross functional negotiation, change management, problem solving and global thinking skills;
  • Strong project management skills with ability to work cross functionally is a plus;
  • Multitasking and time management skills;
  • Ability to translate highly complex business processes into simplified executive messaging;
  • Maintain good business partnering relationship
